Junior Innovate Sarawak State Final 2025

SK Trusan proudly took part in the Junior Innovate Sarawak State Final on 25 & 26 September 2025. Guess what? We were the only rural school in the entire competition – standing tall among all the other teams!

Our young innovators, Ahmad Idham and Afi Khairi Danish, gave it their all. They worked super hard, polishing up their project before the big day. And when it came to presentation time… wow! They absolutely nailed it – hands down the best, most confident presentation I’ve ever seen.

Although we didn’t manage to grab a spot in the Top 3 (and miss the chance to go to Nationals in Penang), I couldn’t be prouder of these two. They showed heart, skill, and courage – and that’s a win in my book.

JUNIOR INNOVATE NORTHERN SARAWAK STATE MAKER FAIR

 

Three Junior Innovate (JI) teams from Lawas have advanced to the Junior Innovate Northern Sarawak State Maker Fair, which will be held at Pustaka Sarawak, Miri on 6th September 2025.

The Junior Innovate Competition is a STEM-based program designed to nurture creativity, problem-solving, and digital literacy among students through hands-on projects combining coding, electronics, and innovation.

The Maker Fair serves as a platform to showcase these innovative projects, bringing together young inventors, educators, and the community to celebrate creativity, teamwork, and technological skills.

Congratulations to our JI teams! 🎉 Spark Vision and EvoGirls proudly brought home Silver Awards, while Engineer NextGen 2 shined with a Gold Award and will be representing us at the Sarawak State Final in Kuching on 26th September 2025.

Thank you to the Accompanying Mentor, GB Colly Kong Suan Fung, Cg. Mathuri A/P Marimuthu and Cg. Tan Kan Tsai for the outstanding effort and results.
