YCF-YDD Digital Animation Program

The YCF–YDD Digital Animation Program was established with the goal of narrowing the digital literacy gap between rural and urban school communities. SK Trusan is truly privileged to have been selected as one of the participating schools for this initiative. A total of 48 students from Year 4, 5, and 6 had the opportunity to engage in meaningful and creative learning throughout the program.

Through the sessions, the students were introduced to a variety of digital animation platforms such as Piskel, 2D Pencil, Pivot Animator, and Tinkercad. As they explored these applications, they gradually developed the confidence to navigate digital tools independently. The hands-on nature of the program encouraged them to experiment, take initiative, and cultivate essential problem-solving skills.

On 26 November 2025, the students celebrated the successful completion of their Digital Animation Journey. During the final showcase, they proudly presented one of their favourite projects. A total of 13 teams took the stage to share their creations. Their presentations not only highlighted their developing animation skills but also demonstrated their collaboration, communication, and interpersonal abilities—all of which are crucial skills for their future academic and professional paths.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Yu Chai Foundation – Yayasan Daya Diri (YCF–YDD) for their generous funding and to Chumbaka for their continuous guidance and support. We are excited and optimistic as we look forward to next year’s learning adventure, which will focus on coding.
